About the SAT

The SAT is a standardized exam, usually required for high school juniors and seniors seeking admissions to universities and colleges in the United States and Canada.  The test was created and is administered by the College Board. 

What does the New Digital SAT consists of?

The Digital SAT format is a multiple-choice, computer-based test which is adaptive by section, and has an Evidence Based Reading & Writing Section (English) and a Math section. The new digital SAT doesn't have any essays. 

What is the purpose of SAT?

SAT is one of the most important tests for undergraduate admissions to universities in the United States and in Canada. The test measures a high school student's readiness for college, and it provides universities and colleges  with a standardized test, which can be used to compare all applicants. A high score in SAT is always helpful in securing admission to some of the top universities. However, besides a good SAT score, college admissions officers also review an applicant's high school GPA, the subjects the applicant took in high school, letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors, extracurricular activities such as sports, admissions interviews, and personal essays. The importance of the SAT varies with some putting a lot of importance on high SAT scores while others may not. 

However, it is always good to score well on SAT in order to maximize your chances of securing admissions to the university or college of your choice.

The course duration for English (Evidence-Based Reading & Writing) is 30 hours. 

The duration for Math is 20 hours.
